Brisbane

A man-made lagoon right by the river in Brisbane!

The most amazing hot chocolate I've ever had.

Me & Sophie

An eyebrow bar..for $75 to get your eyebrows done! (definitely didn't do it)

I love Brisbane. It's a walkable city where you can pretty much walk anywhere within 30/45 minutes. This last picture is of me, Cris, Jarred, and Barbara.. we were all traveling together for a week or so. Actually met them in Port Stephens, and ended up constantly running into each other from place to place. I met some interesting people in Brisbane..who I will hopefully meet up with again sometime in my travels (Sophie!) Next stop: Noosa

Byron Bay

Byron Bay has an amazing hippy-like atmosphere. Everyone walks around barefoot..even in the grocery store. There was beautiful, crystal clear beaches with perfect beginner surfing waves (but I didn't surf..too cold haha). We hiked to the top of Cape Byron to the lighthouse. I met some really cool people from Montreal, Chile, Switzerland, and England. It's interesting how everyone is traveling, but are in different points of their travels. The girls from Montreal have already been here for eight months, and are heading home next week. It's good to hear advice from them on where/where not to go, what to see, and where to stay. Next stop: Surfer's Paradise/ Brisbane...

Port Macquarie

Port Macquarie.. the place where I met Barbara, another girl from Switzerland, who I have been traveling with for 70% of my travels up north. We rented some bikes from our hostel and did a bike ride on the coast of Port Macquarie and made it to the Koala Hospital at 3pm for their daily feeding. We saw the cutest baby koala being taken back to it's habitat since it was fully recovered (it was attacked by a dog). The Koala hospital is completely volunteer based and helps koalas recover from dog attacks, automobile accidents, etc. Next stop: Byron Bay

Port Stephens/ Nelson Bay

The beginning of my hop-on, hop-off bus adventure north started in Nelson Bay/ Port Stephens where I met two girls.. one from England and one from Switzerland. I hiked Tomaree Point with the Swiss girl which overlooked all of Nelson Bay. You could see whales and dolphins from the top. Next place: Port Macquarie
