Aloha from Oahu

Mainly R&R has been the main theme of the week in Oahu. Lots of pool & beach action. Father's Day was the first day..so it was all up to Micha what he wanted to do. He wanted to go to the famous Duke's Restaurant in Waikiki for his Father's Day dinner. The last time we were at Dukes..there was a Mark McGrath (guy from Sugar Ray) sighting. Nothing too crazy was going on this time..but we got to walk around and go to a local art festival. There were beautiful sunsets from our hotel balcony every night, and we got to see every sunset and sunrise each morning (still not adjusted..and wake up at 6am every morning). We hiked in this beautiful valley called Waimea Valley located in the North Shore (that's where the pictures of the waterfall, peacock, and rooster were taken). We stayed in this area called Ko Olina which is outside the hustle & bustle of the city. Ko Olina area is four man-made lagoons sheltered by rocks from the ocean. But made regular trips to Waikiki Beach..which is where everything is "happening." So a family environment indeed. :-) We just arrived in Maui, this past Saturday...more to come....

San Fran Style

I was lucky to be able to make a stop in San Francisco with my parents to visit my brother, Brad, for a day. We mainly did the touristy things such as a visit Pier 39 to see the Sea Lions, eat clam chowder soup in bread bowls, walk this pier that overlooks Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, eat Dungeness crab and marvel at the street performers. The last time we were in San Fran, my parents witnessed two completely naked guys walking around with only a camera around their neck. Tourists would gawk & take pictures of them and in return, they would take pictures with the camera around their neck. There were no naked guy sightings this trip, but.. my dad offered to take a family's picture with their camera..and my dad (being the goofball he is) decided to jokingly run off with their camera. Unfortunately, I wasn't there to witness this, but my mom pretended she wasn't related to my dad. haha. Typical Micha. That's all for San Fran.. Next stop...OAHU, HAWAII.
